Some More History on The Father's Name
Before we begin studying history and Scripture, let me just say that I believe that the Scriptures are the inspired Word of YaHuWaH (the true name of the Almighty, rendered Lord in our Bibles), and I wholeheartedly believe Scripture to be Truth.
We must however, bear in mind that the scriptures were originally written in Hebrew and related to life in Israel.  We must never forget the roots of our Scriptures or the people of Israel and the fact that the Scriptures were written with an eastern mindset not a western one. We as believers are grafted into the root, which is the Almighty and His chosen people, Israel.

So let's begin.
First, some history of where our English Scriptures came from.
The first hand-written English Bible manuscripts were produced in the 1380's AD by John Wycliffe, an Oxford professor, scholar, and theologian. Other translations were produced by William Tyndale, Martin Luther in later years, with much resistance from to the Catholic church.
In 1539 the 'Great  Bible' was printed in English and authorised for public use.
The 'translation to end all translations' was produced in 1611, 'the 1611 King James Version.'  This version contained 80 books.  In 1885 some books were removed leaving 66 books.
For more history check out the following link to a timeline of the English Bible history:
The English Bible was translated from the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures into Latin and then into English.  The English language did not exist in Bible times. The English language first came into use in the 5th century AD and developed over time.
Words like God, Lord, Jesus & Christ that are used in our Bibles today originate from Greek influences, and are not exact translations of the Hebrew or Greek. Translators found some words difficult to translate and convey the meaning into English
When the Bible was translated, many of the original  Hebrew titles and names were anglicised.
i.e. John is Yochanon in Hebrew, Jeremiah is YirmeYAHU in Hebrew.
But some titles and names which have been translated originated from pagan sources.
When our Messiah walked the earth, he was not known as Jesus Christ!
He was from the tribe of Judah (YAHudah) of Ancient Israel and He was given a Hebrew name. We’ll discuss this later on.

For us to know the name of our Heavenly Father and His Son the Messiah, we need to go back to the Ancient Scriptures in Hebrew. We are instructed to do this in :
 Jeremiah 6 v 16
“Stand at the crossroads and look, ask about the ancient paths, ‘which one is the good way?’ Take it and you will find rest for your souls.”

Firstly let’s look at the Father’s Name.
As you will recall, our Messiah said He came in His Father's name.
So, what is His Father's name?
Let's go back to the second book of the Torah (the first five books of the Bible).

Exodus 3 v 15
'The Mighty One (God) said further to Moses, ‘Say thus to the people of Israel
YHWH, the Mighty One of your fathers, the Mighty One of Abraham, the Mighty One of Isaac and the Mighty One of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is my NAME FOREVER, this is how I am to be remembered generation after generation.’
Here is fragment from the dead sea scrolls which shows the Name YHWH, written in paleo Hebrew. The original Hebrew script that was used at that time. The divine Name of our Heavenly Father, rendered YHWH in English Bibles, is written in the Hebrew Scriptures as Yod, Hay, Waw, Hay (YHWH). In Modern Hebrew it looks like this  יהוה reading from right to left.

                                                              H       W     H       Y
 The YHWH is pronounced as:
 (Yah- hoo- wah)
It can also be spelt Yahuah.
You will probably immediately think, ‘but I haven’t seen this in my Bible.’
I would ask that you check the preface of your Bible, if it has one, or go to the footnotes of Exodus 3 v 15, or do some research on the King James Version of the Bible.
You will find that the translators admit that they have removed our Heavenly Father's name; יהוה which is rendered as 4 English letters YHWH (the tetragrammation) and substituted it with a "device" called "The LORD", wherever YHWH occurs in the scriptures.  (See for yourself in the preface of your Bible).
Our Heavenly Father's name, YHWH, appears at least 6,823 times in the Scriptures! There has been an age-long conspiracy to hide His set-apart name from His people by the religious leaders of old, and this irreverent act has continued till present time.
Jeremiah speaks of this :
Jeremiah 8 v 8
‘How can you say, ‘We are wise; YHWH’s teaching is with us,’ when in fact the lying pen of the scribes has turned it into falsehood.’
"The LORD" is not a Name but a pagan title!
If you check in a Strong's Concordance it will tell you that Hebrew #1168; Lord  =  Ba'al .
The pagan god’s name Ba’al, means Lord!  The Most High's name has been replaced with a title that refers to the pagan deity Ba'al!
Remember Elijah and the prophets of Ba'al?
1 Kings 18:21
"And EliYAH (Elijah) came unto all the people, and said, How long halt ye between two opinions? If YaHuWaH (rendered the LORD in KJV) be Almighty, follow him: but if the Baal, then follow him. And the people answered him not a word."
(Elijah did not use the word LORD he used the name YaHuWaH)
In Jeremiah it prophesies that this would happen:
Jeremiah 23:26-27
"How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? Yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart; Which think to cause my people to forget MY NAME by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten MY NAME for Baal."
 (Baal = Lord)
The translators have done exactly this.  They have caused us to forget the name of Yahuwah by replacing His name with the word 'Lord (Ba'al) in our scriptures.
In wilkepedia, under ‘religion’ it states that "Lord" is used as a title of deference for various gods or deities. It then goes on to list all the different religions and their deities.
In England we also have a house full of lords in the house of commons.
This is NOT a name for the One true Mighty One.
This is NOT the name above all names!
This is NOT a name but a common title.
This is NOT the name given to Moses that is to be remembered for EVERY generation.
You may think does this really matter? Let's see what the Scriptures say.
When the Israelites were exiled into Babylon they were being persecuted for using the name YaHuWaH and decided that it would be better not to speak His name. Man-made rules were put into place over centuries and the name was substituted with Adonai (lord) or Elohim (god) or ha’shem (the name). Vowel pointings for Adonai and Elohim were added to the Hebrew YHWH to remind the Israelites not to say the Name and to ensure that the Name wasn’t spoken and that Adonai or Elohim were used instead.  This is where we get the erroneous name Yahweh and Yehovah from.
Ezekiel 36 v 20
‘When they (Israel) came to the nations they were going to, they profaned my set-apart  (holy) NAME, so that the people said of them, ‘These are Yahuwah’s people who have been exiled from Israel.  But I (Yahuwah) am concerned about my set apart NAME, which the house of Israel is profaning among the nations where they have gone.
Ezekiel 36 v 23
‘I will set apart my great NAME to be regarded as set-apart (holy), since it has been profaned in the nations – you profaned it among them.  The nations will know that I AM YAHUWAH.’
So according to scripture our Creator’s name which shows His character, IS important.
Just remind yourself of the 10 commandments in Exodus 20, especially the third commandment:
‘You do not bring the NAME of YaHuWaH (rendered Lord in KJV Bible) your Mighty One to naught .’
‘To naught’ means to render it useless. Wouldn’t changing the name YaHuWaH to a title, the same as a pagan god and covering up the true name, be bringing the Name to naught?
You may think, ah well I am English, and I don’t speak Hebrew so I’ll use what is in my Bible. Actually you do speak Hebrew!
Every time you say the name Satan you are speaking pure Hebrew. Yes, Satan is a Hebrew word. Isn’t it interesting how the Adversary’s name Satan has been kept in perfect Hebrew in the Old Testament and also in the Greek in the New Testament. It has also been kept the same in our English Bibles!
Ba’al is a Hebrew word, as is Baal-Gad, Ishtar, Satan, Ashtoreth, Tammuz, Molech. All are pagan dieties. All the pagan names in scripture have been translated perfectly from Hebrew.
When you say HalleluYAH you are speaking Hebrew. It means 'praise YAH.’ (the shortened form of Yahuwah)
Amen is also a Hebrew word meaning ‘so be it.’
We don’t change Barak Obama’s name, or Saddam Hussein’s name or Vladimir Putin’s name when they are used. They are kept the same whatever language you speak.
So why change the Almighty’s name and His Son’s name?
Why not keep the two most important names in scripture, in perfect Hebrew? Hmmm…….
We have all been deceived for too long! Had they been left in place all those years ago, we wouldn’t even think about using the proper Hebrew names . But they haven’t, until now….
The Father's true name which was given to Moses is the name:
YAHUWAH  meaning   I AM HE WHO EXISTS. (click here for more info)
YAHUWAH describes His character as 'He is existing.' The One true Almighty One who exists.
The Name Yahuwah is used in many Hebrew names in Scripture.
The meaning of a name is very important in Eastern culture. It represents the character of the person.
There are many names in Scripture which have the Father's Name in them.
Can you see the YAH in some of these Hebrew names?
EliYAH (Elijah), YAHUdah (Judah)
There are 137 names that end in YAH in the scriptures each with a specific meaning .
e.g. YirmeYAHU (Jeremiah) means: Yahuwah exalts.
There are also many names which have YAH within the name.
Click here for many more examples.  You will be suprised at how many there are.
Yahuwah's Name is proclaimed throughout Scripture.
