YaHuWaH
The Name Above All Names
The 10 Commandments in 2?
The 10 Commandments in 2?
So now we have looked closely at all of the 10 commandments we can see that they can be split into two categories:
So now we have looked closely at all of the 10 commandments we can see that they can be split into two categories:
The first category includes the first four commandments. They teach us how to love YaHuWaH with all our heart, with all our being and all of our mind.

The second category are the last six commandments. They teach us how to love others.

Yahushua summed up ALL the commandments in this way:
Yahushua summed up ALL the commandments in this way:
Matthew Chapter 22 Verse 35 - 40
Matthew Chapter 22 Verse 35 - 40
"And one of them, one who was learned in the Torah, questioned, trying Him, saying, 'Teacher, which is the great Command in the Torah?' And Yahushua said to him, 'You shall love YaHuWaH your God with all your heart, and with all your being, and with all your mind.' This is the first and great Command. 'And the second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbour as yourself.' On these two Commands hang ALL the Torah (Law) and the Prophets."

So you see, if you obey the first 4 commandments you will love YaHuWaH with all your heart, being and mind and will cling to Him. If you obey the last 6 Commandments, you will love your neighbour as yourself. Pretty simple!

1 John Chapter 5 Verse 2 says:
"By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love YaHuWaH and keep His Commands. For this is the love for YaHuWaH, that we keep His Commands, and His commands are not burdensome."

This is one of the most clear passages on what it means to love YaHuWaH. To love YaHuWaH means to keep His Commandments.

Revelation Chapter 14 Verse 12 says:
"Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones (saints) here are those keeping the Commands of YaHuWaH and the belief of Yahushua."

There are two key characteristics of true believers:
- they keep the Commandments of YaHuWaH and:
- the testimony / witness of His Son Yahushua.
So for anyone who thinks that the commandments have been done away with or have been nailed to the tree or replaced by another set of laws, think again. There is much confusion and controversy over the writings of Paul also known as Saul and we will soon take a quick look at how his testimony is untrustworthy, his doctrines contradict our Messiah's and His true Apostles, and that his self proclaimed apostleship is questionable and defies Torah regulation.
Yahushua clearly said in:

Matthew 5:17-19
"Do not think that I have came to destroy the Torah ( Law / Commandments) or the Prophets; I did not come to destroy but to complete. For truly, I say to you, until the heavens and the earth pass away, one yod or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah until all be done. Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these Commands, and teaches others to do so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens, but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens."

The heavens and the earth have not yet passed away so the commandments still stand. Yahushua was saying that not one letter (a yod is the smallest Hebrew letter) of the Torah would change until He returns and the heavens and earth pass away.

The Commandments are a Covenant (the marriage vows with the bride) between YaHuWaH and His children. This Covenant stands FOREVER. It has not been replaced by a different renewed covenant.

The renewed covenant is simply this:

Jeremiah Chapter 31 Verse 33
"For this is the Covenant I shall make with the house of Yisrael after those days declares YaHuWaH: I shall put MY Torah in their inward parts, and write it on their hearts. And I shall be their God, and they shall be My People."

The only change with regards to the Commandments is that YaHuWaH will write the Commandments on our hearts!
